About Me

My name is Lila . I grew up in a small remote village in Nepal and I now live in Lalitpur on the outskirts of Kathmandu with my son and my husband Raj. In my early 20ies I moved to Pokhara, Nepal, where I became a trekking porter, and later, a trekking guide . I guided many people around different parts of Nepal and moved to Kathmandu at the age of 23 to continue my studies and my work as a trekking guide.

After I graduated in political science and tourism from Tribhuvan University in Kathmandu, I started working for a trekking agency in Kathmandu and initially trekked with tourists and porters. In 2007 I received my trekking guide license and started doing longer and harder treks with tourists as the main guide.

I accompanied many travelers from Germany, the Netherlands, Sweden, Romania, Italy, USA or Israel and guided them safely around and to various spectacular areas of Nepal such as Langtang, Annapurna Base Camp, Chitwan National Park, Gosaikunda, Mustang, Poon Hill – Ghorepani and many more
